IMPORTANT NOTICE - NEW POLICY FROM 01/11/2023

 

We are a private/mixed billing practice. Private fees (see table below) are payable for all consultation and telehealth. Bulk billing services are available to:


   •   All pension card holders 
   •   Children aged 15 and under
   •   Concession Card Holders
   •   Patients eligible for Chronic Disease Care Plan reviews and Health Assessments
   •   COVID vaccinations (booking with the nurse)

 

Always bring your pensioner or concession card along with your visit. No card on the day, or expired card will incur a private fees. We do not provide refund who patients not disclosing card detail on arrival.

 


FEES


Fees for the services are set by each individual doctor and are billed based on the time and level of complexity of the consultation. Most of the fees are considerably less than the Australian Medical Association (AMA) recommended rate. Please be aware that weekend rates are different from weekdays and do charge an additional $20 for medical consultations.

   •   Continues to bulk bill her regular patients at her discretion. All skin procedures and iron infusion will incur a private fee.
   •   She will also bulk bill immediate family members of her regular patients

   •   Bulk-billing will also apply to all new and existing patients who are aged 15 years and under, pensioners and concession card holders.
   •   Private fee is applicable to patients who do not fall under the above criteria

 

Dr Charles Rhee / Dr Lei Cao / Dr James Lam

   •   Private fees are applicable to all consultations including telehealth except:

                  • All pension card holders 
                  • Children aged 15 and under
                  • Concession Card Holders.

 

Dr Billur Sedefoglu 
   •   Continues to bulk bill her regular patients at her discretion.

Cancellation fee $40 if applicable to any No Show or Cancellation (<6 hr notice).

Medical procedures, insurance, employment health checks, sports medical checks, commercial driver license renewal, legal reports and other non-medical matters will be privately billed. You will be advised of any such charges before they are incurred.

 

Workers Compensation visits are privately billed. A receipt will be provided for you to claim back with the insurer. Once a claim number has been issued you can discuss with your GP the option to direct bill the insurer.

For all vaccination and procedural costs please ask one of our friendly receptionists. The doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain your consent prior to receiving treatment. Travel vaccines will also incur a private fee for the purchase of the vaccine as they are not covered by Medicare.

For After-Hours & Home Visit Services, there are 2 options:

 

National Home Doctor on 13SICK (13 74 25) for bulk-billing GP home visits. Booking lines are open from 6pm weekdays, 12 noon Saturday, all day Sunday and public holidays.

 

Alternatively, you can request Home Visits from the GPs working at the practice. Please enquire with our Reception team (Private fees Only $330, No Bulk Billing).

All applicable fees are due at the time of the consultation. We accept payment via Cash, EFTPOS and Credit Card. We have Patient Claiming available, which means that you can receive Medicare rebate back into your account within 1-3 working days (if you have registered your bank account with Medicare).

 

Outstanding accounts exceeding 30 days will be sent to a debt collections agency for follow up.

 

PLEASE NOTE, NO NEW NIB OSHC CARD HOLDER WILL BE ACCEPTED HERE. Even if patient is willing to pay privately.

Why are we changing our billing policies?

Bulk Billing rates from Medicare are not increasing in line with inflation and considerably less than the Australian Medical Association (AMA) recommended rate. The change to Private Billing is necessary to keep up with the costs of running a medical clinic, to retain our GPs and to continue serving our community.
